GLENDALE, Ariz. (June 30, 2007) - The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) heated up the Jobing.com Arena tonight in Glendale, Ariz., as fans eagerly welcomed back the superstars of the PBR and the elite Built Ford Tough Series presented by Wrangler (BFTS). The much anticipated Cheeseburger Islandstyle Invitational got underway tonight from the arid southwest and thrilled fans with traumatic wrecks and astounding rides. Harve Stewart (Stephenville, Texas) claimed top honors of the night with a 90 point ride aboard Bonsall Bucking Bulls' 761 Mud Flap.
Harve Stewart's ride electrified the desert bull riding fans when he stayed ahead of the field of bull riders by one full point. Brazilian superstar, Paulo Crimber (Olimpia, Sao Paulo) danced into second place of the evening with an 89 point ride aboard Boyd/Floyd/Paradise Farms' Missfire.
Fans were given quite a shock when 2005 PBR World Champion and current points' leader, Justin McBride (Elk City, Okla.) got hung up on Page & Teague Bucking Bulls' Wintwister. McBride suffered a concussion. Probable to compete in tomorrow night's performance.
